Google
has made security enhancements to their Gmail application with 2-step
authentication to protect your accounts from vulnerability and potential hacking
(Read More about Google's Authentication
Here). This 2-step verification is no longer an option, but
required, for Gmail. As a result, there are changes every Gmail user has to
complete.
If
you're a Gmail user, you must:
- Turn on the 2-Step Authentication and set an Application Password within Gmail.
- Add the Application Password to your email credentials in the Micro Key
products that use your Gmail account.
Products
impacted by this new Google safety measure are:
- Millennium - emailing invoices, receipts,
statements, proposals
- Customer Connect
- Comm Module
